During drying practices, about 3.5 – 4 kg moisture is dehydrated from every kilogram of molded pulp package. That is to say, manufacturing cost of drying process accounts for a major proportion in moulded fiber products fabrication.
So far, hot air convection (tunnel drying) is a popular drying method equipped with pulp molding machine. Compared with far infrared radiation and micro wave drying, it’s reliable, safe and affordable.
However, no matter what kind of drying method, the oven is expected to have insulation layer preventing from thermal loss, and to ensure uniform temperature inside every corner.
- Length, width and height are depend on size of final product and required dry intensity
- Surrounded by hard and high density rock wool for heat insulation
- Forced hot air circulation by blowers
- Thermometer indicates temperature inside

- Metal dryer multi-layer are more compact and save space greatly

As the medium of drying, hot air can be generated from various heat source. Just choose steady, convenient and as cheap as possible option according to your region.
- Coal
- Wood
- Diesel
- Gasoline
- Natural gas
All above options are applicable for brick dryer, but coal and wood are not suitable for metal dryer.
